DoorDash is hiring an Engineering Manager for the Mx AI/ML team to design and deploy next-generation AI product solutions powering merchant experiences. You will lead ML engineers building real AI products, collaborate with product/design/ops, and own end-to-end ML system lifecycles at massive scale.

You will drive innovation in multimodal AI and GenAI content, mentor engineers, and help shape an inclusive, high-impact engineering culture across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in machine learning and AI engineering with 2+ years in leadership of mix of scientists and engineers.
• Proven track record deploying AI/ML systems at scale and shipping products used by millions.
• Broad ML knowledge with depth in CV, NLP, generative models, or large-scale agent systems.
• Strong communication and partnering with product, design, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of AI/ML engineers delivering production-grade ML and GenAI solutions for merchants.
• Define a multi-year AI roadmap and execute across onboarding, menu media understanding, and automation pillars.
• Partner with product and operations to translate merchant pain points into scalable AI solutions.
• Own end-to-end ML lifecycle from ideation to production and continuous improvement.
• Drive innovation in multimodal AI, LLM-based assistants, and GenAI content creation.
• Mentor engineers to build an inclusive, high-impact culture.
