Job summary

Mariana Minerals seeks an Engineering Manager to build and lead a software engineering team powering the minerals supply chain. You will own 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development while partnering with tech leads, product managers, and engineers to deliver against roadmap commitments.

You will work hands-on when leverage is highest, grow engineers into larger scope, and ensure alignment with metrics and automation efforts for scale across our Moab, Utah and East Texas sites.

Qualifications

• Requires 3–5+ years managing software engineers with performance reviews and hiring responsibilities.
• Requires 8+ years in software engineering with ability to evaluate designs with senior engineers.
• Proven track record delivering under deadlines and growing engineers into larger scope.
• Experience communicating constraints clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Bias toward shipping and learning from feedback; structure in ambiguous problems.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a team of software engineers, owning 1:1s, feedback, performance reviews, career development, and compensation input.
• Own hiring funnel from sourcing to onboarding; shape team mix of skills and ownership as it grows.
• Deliver against roadmap commitments and provide early warning when risks arise.
• Create conditions for the team to ship quickly, iterating from real ground feedback with plant teams.
• Partner with Tech Lead and senior engineers on technical direction and architecture.
