Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an Engineering Manager for Merchandising Technology in Marlborough, MA. You will own the MerchTech architecture, roadmap, and platform integrations, partnering with product and enterprise teams to deliver scalable, secure merchandising solutions.

The role emphasizes vendor management, CI/CD improvements, and building AI-enabled capabilities while supporting a hybrid in-office/remote schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering, enterprise applications, solution architecture, or systems integration.
• 3+ years of leading engineering teams or complex technical programs.
• Experience implementing, integrating, and supporting enterprise SaaS applications.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, middleware, cloud platforms, integration patterns, security, data architecture, and DevOps.
• Experience with architecture governance, production support, incident management, and release management.
• Demonstrated success managing vendors, delivery commitments, technical risks, and competing priorities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills across business, technology, and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own MerchTech architecture and engineering roadmap and translate strategies into scalable designs.
• Lead solution design reviews, ARB submissions, and ensure SaaS compliance with standards.
• Oversee end-to-end integrations across ERP, middleware, data platforms, and apps.
• Manage delivery plans, resource commitments, and vendor evaluations.
• Own production support, incident management, and release planning; drive reliability.
