Job summary

Qualifications

• 4-5 years degree in engineering or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with automotive window regulator systems is highly preferred.
• 5 years Hi-Lex product experience in product design, preferably mechanisms.
• 10 years of industrial experience, program launch experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage Product Engineering team of Engineers, Designers and others.
• Lead new concepts and current product design development.
• Work with Sales in pursuit of new business.
• Develop relationships with key customer personnel.
• Manage customer application engineering projects.
• Review accuracy of quotations for new products.
• Maintain on-time engineering releases.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Verify prototypes and products meet customer requirements.
• Interact with customers, vendors to assist in cost reduction.
• Ensure product engineering meets program launch timing.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of engineering practices (GD&T, DOE, FMEA, DFM, CAD applications, statistical analysis)

Education

4-year degree in mechanical engineering or engineering technology
