Job summary

Amazon's Language Experience team in Builder Tools drives the core tooling used by builders across the company. You will lead a strong team of engineers to build and maintain language toolchains, shared libraries, and build tools used by nearly every service at Amazon.

You will mentor engineers, own your team's roadmap, and guide decisions on compiler internals, runtimes, and package management while ensuring backward compatibility and smooth upgrades.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services.
• 3+ years of Software Engineer or related experience.
• Knowledge of full software/hardware/networks lifecycle and coding standards.
• Experience partnering with product or program management.

Responsibilities

• Create, prioritize, communicate, manage, and execute roadmaps and commitments.
• Set clear, measurable goals for the team and communicate status.
• Lead the team to improve velocity and software quality.
• Define team operational strategy with metrics and improvements.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement through coaching and feedback.
