Job summary

Pinterest seeks a Manager II, Engineering to lead the Kubernetes Platform team, building and operating infra that enables reliable, scalable services. You will guide production systems, set strategy, and drive automation while balancing reliability, cost, and security.

You will recruit and develop engineers, partner with product, security, and cloud teams, and apply AI judiciously to accelerate analysis and workflows. This role is US-based with in-office 1–2 times per quarter.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience in infrastructure/platform.
• Experience with large-scale cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes platforms.
• Ability to set multi-quarter technical strategy and deliver through senior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team responsible for Kubernetes platform infrastructure and related systems.
• Define a 12-month strategy, roadmap, and success metrics.
• Improve reliability, security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Drive architecture decisions and build self-service automation.
