Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the EKS compute team, owning core services for EKS Auto and EKS Hybrid.

You will guide staffing, product development, culture, and organizational planning while delivering high-quality, scalable Kubernetes solutions. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership in hyper-growth environments, prioritization, and communication with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience.
• 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience.
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the EKS compute engineering team.
• Define roadmaps and strategy for EKS compute products.
• Collaborate with AWS services and other teams to ensure reliability and scale.
