Job summary

Adyen is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Issuing team in Chicago. You will build and scale a best-in-class engineering organization around the issuing product, collaborating with product, operations, and business teams to deliver secure and scalable payment solutions for enterprise clients and partners.

You will drive the technical roadmap, recruit and coach engineers, and own architectural decisions for a high-impact product.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of people management experience.
• Experience in FinTech Issuing/Banking or managing a highly critical, global product at scale.
• Strong API-based financial service knowledge and ability to discuss design decisions with senior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Roadmap: develop and execute the technical roadmap for issuing program construct and scaling the product.
• Build a team: establish a new engineering team and shape culture.
• Technical Authority: act as domain expert for banking product and drive technical design.
• People & Performance: coach, mentor, and manage performance within the team.
• Execution & Ownership: manage timelines with Product Managers and address technical debt.
• Client & Product Focus: understand client needs and market to shape future features.
