Job summary

Adyen is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a new team in the Issuing organization in Chicago. You will build a world-class engineering culture, own the technical roadmap, and collaborate with product, commercial, and operations to deliver a scalable issuing product for enterprise clients.

You will drive technical excellence, coach engineers, and influence product directions with a strong banking/FinTech background and stack including Java, Postgres, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, and Elasticsearch.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience building high-performing engineering teams.
• FinTech domain experience or delivering critical, global products.
• Strong technical depth in API-based financial services and架 socket scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead the issuing program roadmap and translate business goals into technical reality.
• Build and coach a new engineering team from the ground up.
• Act as technical authority for the banking product and design decisions.
• Drive performance management and professional development.
• Partner with Product Managers to manage timelines and reduce technical debt.
