Job summary

Erie, PA — Tessy Plastics is seeking a Mold Design Manager to lead a design team from concept to completion. You will drive quality, on-time delivery, and budget adherence across injection mold projects.

Responsibilities include quoting, design reviews, and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, QA, and customers. A degree is preferred or 10+ years of related experience; SolidWorks proficiency and advanced MS 365 skills are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in engineering and mold design; in lieu of a degree, 10 years of relevant experience is required.
• Must be 3D CAD proficient (preferably SolidWorks).
• Advanced Microsoft 365 skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead injection mold design and development from concept through completion.
• Assist in quoting new design and building projects.
• Ensure moldability, cost effectiveness, and highest quality in product designs.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, scheduling, purchasing and QA to resolve mold issues.
• Align with customers on scope of work (SOW) and lead design reviews.
• Communicate project status and serve as escalation point for issues.
• Contribute to company strategy and KPIs.
• Mentor team members to improve KPIs.
