Sentry is seeking an Engineering Manager for Infrastructure Engineering to lead a team building internal control platforms, configuration automation, and routing layers that power our services. You will shape the technical direction, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and drive scalable, reliable infrastructure.

You’ll foster growth, manage performance, and ensure alignment with product goals while delivering high‑impact, long‑term initiatives across the org.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with internal tooling, infrastructure automation, platform engineering, or distributed systems.
• 4+ years of engineering management experience, including growing and managing teams of engineers.
• Experience as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager leading architecture and long‑term evolution of internal control platforms or similar systems.
• Strong backend or full‑stack engineering background, with solid Python skills.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, Python, and a systems mindset for abstracting complex infrastructure for others to use.
• Strong technical communication skills and a track record of effective cross‑team and leadership collaboration.
• Proven experience delivering and owning multi‑year engineering initiatives in a leadership or technical leadership capacity.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers building internal control platforms and tooling.
• Drive evolution of Infrastructure Engineering's platform, including configuration management, traffic routing and environment controls.
• Own the team's technical direction, decisions on API architecture, internal tooling design, and automation frameworks.
