Job summary

Neumo Holdings LLC is seeking a Manager II, Software Engineering to build and lead teams behind the Tax Transaction Engine and Tax Capability Rules Engine. You will own the delivery plan, guide migrations, and set technical direction with architects and leads.

You will hire and mentor engineers, coordinate with product and legacy teams, and ensure smooth, auditable deployments while maintaining high standards for quality and velocity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years leading teams.
• Proven track record shipping platforms on demanding timelines.
• Experience migrating from legacy systems to modern architectures.
• Background in financial, tax, or other regulated transaction systems.
• Strong API, cloud, data integration and release management.

Responsibilities

• Build the teams: Hire, onboard and grow the Tax Engine teams using employees and contractors.
• Deliver the first release: Own the engineering plan and delivery of the engines, admin UIs and user interfaces.
• Lead the cutovers: Coordinate phased migrations of existing products onto the new engines.
• Support tenant migration: Work with product teams to migrate tenants in waves.
• Set technical direction: Define configurable engine components and scalable processing with data warehouse integration.
• Run delivery: Plan roadmaps, sizing and releases; manage risks and communicate trade-offs to leadership.
• Build the culture: Establish coding standards, CI/CD, observability and operational readiness.
• Manage vendors and budget: Oversee contractors and headcount planning.
