Job summary

Adyen is seeking an Engineering Manager for Identity and Access Management in San Francisco. You will lead a team responsible for authentication and authorization across the platform, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and secure design.

You will collaborate with product and engineering peers, mentor engineers, and drive high-quality, maintainable systems while engaging stakeholders across the company. This role is based in-office in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams and delivering scalable solutions.
• Strong foundation in software engineering with deep system design skills.
• Hands-on and collaborative, mentoring engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable software.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to define and deliver the next version of Authentication and Authorization at Adyen.
• Ensure reliability, performance and scalability; authentication and authorisation are part of Adyen's critical flows.
• Lead hands-on by actively coding, participating in technical discussions, code reviews, and system design to ensure best practices are followed.
• Ensure high performance by mentoring and coaching engineers, setting a high-quality bar.
• Foster an inspiring and inclusive team culture of ownership, autonomy, collaboration, accountability and open communication/feedback.
• Effectively manage stakeholders throughout the company.
