Job summary

Otter Tail Corporation is seeking a Manager I, Reliability Planning in Fergus Falls, MN to lead long-range asset investment and reliability strategies across transmission, distribution, and facilities. You will direct a team, drive data-driven decisions, and collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Regulatory Affairs to optimize investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Eight+ years in electric utility engineering, transmission/ distribution, or asset-intensive work.
• Three+ years in leadership roles with employee development.
• Experience building multi-year asset lifecycle plans and budgets.
• Familiarity with GIS systems and engineering records management.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven track record in process improvement and reliable performance.
• Ability to build business cases and present to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team for asset planning, reliability programs, and GIS development.
• Develop short- and long-term asset investment strategies balancing reliability and cost.
• Use data on condition, performance, risk to set investment priorities.
• Lead capital planning, budgeting, forecasting and long-range financial planning.
• Oversee reliability initiatives and asset management programs for performance gains.
• Guide facilities lifecycle strategies including total cost of ownership analyses.
• Ensure GIS data quality and integration to support decisions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to communicate data-driven investment strategies.
• Support regulatory filings and strategic planning with defensible investment plans.
