Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. seeks a senior engineering/management leader to guide discipline-level technology and process improvements while aligning cost, schedule, and performance objectives with portfolio strategy.

You will manage and develop contributors, lead cross-functional efforts, and represent the team in key forums, applying SEL values and manufacturing principles to deliver robust products and processes.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering field or equivalent education/experience.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Background check satisfactory to SEL and negative drug test.

Responsibilities

• Leads on discipline/technology/process with cost/schedule/performance in mind.
• Assists portfolio planning and long-term strategy.
• Performs management activities to attract, hire, supervise, and develop individual contributors.
• Represents the team at external and large internal meetings/forums.
• Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
• Understand. Create. Simplify.
• Other duties as assigned.
