Job Title: Engineering Manager (Hybrid/Remote)

Location: This role can be based in Nashville, TN; Carbondale, IL; Louisville, KY; St. Louis, MO; or another location within reasonable proximity to Carbondale, IL.

The position offers a flexible work arrangement with remote work available; however, onsite presence is required approximately once per month to support team collaboration, leadership activities, and key business engagements.

Salary: $180,000-$210,000

• Demonstrated ability to manage end‑to‑end delivery of customer‑driven engineering projects.
• Excellent people‑management skills, including coaching, performance management, and hiring.
• Solid understanding of resource planning, prioritization, and execution against clear goals.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross‑functional collaboration.

Nice‑to‑Have Skills:

• Familiarity with Yocto, Buildroot, and custom Linux kernel development.
• Experience in embedded vision, camera systems, and machine‑vision sensor integration.
• Knowledge of FPGA design and verification flows.
• Background in product lifecycle management (PLM) tools and processes.
• Exposure to technical escalation and customer‑facing engineering support.
