Actalent in the United States is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of mechanical engineers designing advanced vehicle and mobile equipment systems, with emphasis on electric terminal tractors. You will shepherd multiple projects from concept through delivery, guiding technical direction and cross-functional collaboration.

The role blends people leadership, robust design review, and process improvement in a hybrid work setting—three days in the office and two days remote.

Formación

• Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of proven experience in vehicle design, analysis, or a closely related field.
• Experience leading complex design projects from concept through production-ready solutions.
• Strong background in mechanical systems, including structures, cabin design, pneumatic systems, and integration of electrical components.
• Experience with hazard analysis, risk analysis, and risk management in an engineering context.
• Comfortable working with requirements management tools such as DOORS and Jira/Confluence.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

Responsabilidades

• Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of mechanical engineers, fostering skill development and delivering high performance.
• Execute and oversee multiple engineering projects by managing timelines, resources, priorities, and risks.
• Direct technical activities and review mechanical designs for accuracy and robustness.
• Identify and solve complex technical challenges, driving continuous improvement in design methods.
• Collaborate with other departments and external partners to communicate progress and key decisions.
• Implement and enforce development, testing, and documentation processes for efficiency and quality.
• Plan resource requirements and inter-team assignments to ensure capacity for development projects.
• Analyze technology trends to inform product roadmaps and engineering strategies.
• Lead system requirement development to meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
