Job summary

Shapes Precision Manufacturing is seeking an Engineering Manager in Palm Bay, FL to provide overall technical leadership for safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets. You will coordinate with engineers, shop floor personnel, estimators, and CNC programmers to drive program goals and ensure compliance with customer requirements and internal processes.

The role emphasizes leading product design changes, managing reviews and approvals, and supporting audits while driving continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• PMP certification preferred; project management knowledge.
• Experience leading engineering efforts in DoD programs a must.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM and shop mathematics required.
• Strong communication and mentoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering department to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, estimators, and shop floor personnel to achieve program goals.
• Monitor project plans to ensure scope, schedule and budget are maintained.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, processes, and best practices.
• Coordinate reviews and approvals with management and product lines.
• Oversee customer RFQs, POs, and design changes.
• Lead tooling, CNC program requests, and manufacturing routes.
• Review BOMs, routers, fixtures designs, and CNC programs.
• Support internal and external audits and continuous improvement.
