Job summary

MongoDB is seeking a hands-on engineering manager to lead the Server Query team, shaping the direction of our distributed open source query engine and its features. You will participate in planning cycles, recruit and develop talent, and help define long-term roadmaps in collaboration with product and engineering leadership.

You will mentor engineers, balance delivery with product goals, and collaborate across teams to ensure high quality, on-time releases for the MongoDB server.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with strong data structures knowledge.
• Proficient in C++ or a similar language.
• Experience managing small engineering teams and mentoring engineers.
