Job summary

CesiumAstro in Westminster, Colorado is seeking an Engineering Manager, Digital & Mixed-Signal Hardware to lead and coordinate our high-speed digital electronics teams across sites and product lines. You will provide technical ownership for board- and system-level designs and oversee staffing and process maturity in a fast-growing aerospace startup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years in direct digital or mixed-signal hardware engineering, aerospace preferred.
• Deep expertise in high-speed digital and mixed-signal board design.
• Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for test (DFT).
• Proficient schematic capture and PCB layout (e.g., Altium).
• Experience with FPGA toolchains (Xilinx Vivado) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical integrity and engineering excellence across high-speed digital and mixed-signal development.
• Lead architecture and design reviews with SME engagement across multiple disciplines.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and test to ensure scalable, producible designs.
• Contribute hands-on debugging for critical high-speed interfaces and FPGA implementations.
• Plan budgets and staffing for hardware programs, including lab equipment and software.
