Job summary

Zipline is seeking an Software Engineering Manager for the Developer Productivity team in San Francisco. You will own the roadmap, technical direction, and execution, improving CI speed and reliability across our monorepo while expanding remote build execution and developer tooling.

You will lead a hands-on, high-impact team of engineers collaborating with software, firmware, autonomy, and infrastructure groups.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of modern build and CI systems, including remote execution, caching, artifact management, and distributed infrastructure.
• Experience leading top-performing software teams and delivering cross-team projects with measurable results.
• Obsession with engineering velocity, removing friction, and building great developer tools.
• Excellent communication across software engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Own roadmap, direction, and execution for Zipline's Developer Productivity team.
• Grow and coach engineers while collaborating with software, firmware, autonomy, and infrastructure teams.
• Improve CI speed and reliability across the monorepo; expand on-prem remote build execution.
• Lead major build-system migrations to centralize projects in the monorepo.
• Define metrics to measure productivity and identify customer pain points.
