Valon is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Developer Infrastructure team within the Platform organization. You will manage a high-impact group that shapes how every Valon engineer builds, tests, ships, and operates software.

You will treat developer infrastructure as a product, defining a clear roadmap and making the path fast, safe, and observable. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes mentoring, architecture decisions, and recruiting top talent across the company.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading teams.
• Experience building or operating developer platforms and internal tooling.
• Strong systems thinking across workflows, architecture, and production infra.
• Hands-on with AWS or GCP, Docker or Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and observability stacks.
• Product mindset with ability to translate internal needs into scalable tech.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers in fast-growing teams.
• Excellent communication and bias toward action.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team focused on developer infrastructure and internal tooling.
• Own strategy, planning, and execution for the developer platform with reliability and security.
• Mentor and contribute hands-on when needed—guide architecture and coding.
• Partner with leaders to identify friction points and deliver high-leverage improvements.
• Establish processes for prioritization, platform adoption, and feedback loops.
• Invest in recruiting and developing engineering talent.
