Job summary

Amplitude, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Data Infrastructure team within Statsig Experiment. You will guide software engineers, data engineers, and data scientists responsible for scalable experimentation systems.

The role focuses on data ingestion, computation, and stats engine, blending data science with production engineering to deliver reliable, scalable capabilities and insights for customers. Hybrid work in the SF Bay Area is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong data science background with hands-on experimentation or causal inference experience.
• Experience leading teams of 10-15 members to build data-intensive products.
• Familiarity with variance reduction, sequential testing, Bayesian inference, or causal effects modeling.
• Experience building large-scale data ingestion and distributed computation across cloud and data warehouses.
• Ability to align statistics, data architecture, and customer needs on a roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Statsig data ingestion, experiment computation, and stats engine teams.
• Define strategy for experimentation across cloud and warehouse-native deployments.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to turn methods into scalable product capabilities.
• Evolve data and computation architecture for complex experiments and datasets.
• Engage with customers to translate challenges into platform improvements.
