Job summary

Google seeks a Software Engineering Manager in Kirkland, WA to lead a high-performing team of engineers focused on data center resource modeling. You will guide technology and product goals, coordinate with partners and executives, and drive planning and reviews across multiple sites.

The role involves managing budgets, large-scale projects, and ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives in AI, infrastructure, and systems design, while scaling teams globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years of experience in people management or team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of engineers for the DC Resource Modeling team.
• Establish technology and product goals with tech leads, partners, clients, and executives.
• Drive project planning, prioritization, and resource allocation for long- and short-term goals.
• Drive project reviews with executive leadership and stakeholders from partner organizations.
• Oversee software logic governing physical data center racks across deployment and operation.
