Job summary

Vanta is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead two squads within the Customer Trust product area. You’ll drive delivery against a defined roadmap, maintain high ownership and transparency, and partner with product and design to shape priorities.

You’ll influence architecture and guide senior ICs while ensuring practical, high-quality outcomes through AI-enabled workflows. You will work with cross-functional teams, including GTM and AI Platform, to unblock blockers and deliver impact at scale.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of full-time engineering management experience leading teams of 6–8+ engineers.
• Track record of running high-execution teams with disciplined delivery practices — tech spec reviews, weekly goal tracking, and strong timeline accountability.
• Experience managing and upleveling senior individual contributors.
• Product engineering background: you’ve led teams building customer-facing software, not primarily infrastructure or platform.
• Technically engaged and comfortable in architecture discussions, able to read specs critically and make informed tradeoff decisions.
• Proven ability to shape product and long-term technical strategy in close partnership with a PM.
• Strong decision maker who effectively balances ambiguity, available data, speed, and quality.
• Uses AI in day-to-day work to amplify your skills and strengthen your outcomes, applying it across routine workflows, actively building fluency through experimentation, and exercising sound judgment to ensure AI-assisted work meets a high quality bar.

• Contribute to Vanta’s engineering culture by helping build the processes, norms, and practices that help the whole organization scale.
