Job summary

OpenAI's Client Platform Engineering (CPE) team builds trusted, scalable client foundation across macOS, Windows, iOS, Android, and Linux. As Engineering Manager, you will guide strategy, delivery, and operation of core platform services, balancing security, reliability, and developer experience.

You will shape direction, mentor engineers, review architecture, and design operating rhythms to accelerate impact.

Qualifications

• Leads secure, reliable services at scale with people leadership.
• Develops and communicates multi-year platform strategy and roadmaps.
• Reviews architecture and tradeoffs to balance security, reliability, and velocity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team.
• Define and execute a multi-year client-platform strategy spanning multiple OSs.
• Provide technical direction for endpoint posture, device trust, and fleet observability.
• Establish goals, ownership, and execution rhythms for rapid delivery with quality.
