Job summary

Lyft is seeking an Engineering Manager on the Core Rider team to lead foundational systems and rider functionality, partnering with product managers, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to define roadmaps and scale product and infrastructure powering rides.

You will drive team execution, mentor engineers, manage a team roadmap from conception to delivery, and uphold observability, reliability, and high technical standards while building a collaborative, low-ego culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with technical leadership.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Experience launching consumer-facing products and growth-focused teams.
• Ability to communicate complex trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborative, low-ego mindset with cross-functional teamwork.
