Job summary

Finch Inc. is seeking an empathetic, results-driven engineering leader to build and scale a high-performing team focused on API and data platform work. You will coordinate across product, engineering, and cross-functional partners to deliver the right solutions and align stakeholders.

You will champion automation and leverage LLMs to drive system and organizational efficiency, while fostering an inclusive culture that supports growth and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant development experience, ideally in a start-up environment.
• 2+ years of people-management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a dynamic, first-class engineering team that will scale as the company grows, identifying and filling any team gaps.
• Develop a team-oriented, supportive culture with collaboration, open communication, and delivering outcomes.
• Be responsible for team output across execution, speed, technical excellence, and reliability.
• Collaborate with Product in setting roadmap and priorities to deliver a valuable customer experience.
• Constantly improve team productivity, refine agile processes, and create methods to increase efficiency.
• Support and mentor your team, providing feedback and growth opportunities.
• Set best practices, standards, culture, and policies.
