Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer for the Content and GenAI Exploration team. You will lead GenAI-based content understanding and AI-generated content framework, shaping how content is modeled and delivered across Google Search.

The role requires deep expertise in ML/AI, large-scale systems, and GenAI techniques with ownership of project direction and high-impact outcomes. You will collaborate across teams to push innovative GenAI experiences and ensure robust deployment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of software development experience in one or more languages, and 5 years in design/architecture.
8 years of experience with ML/AI algorithms and tools, deep learning or similar.
2+ years GenAI techniques or concepts.

Responsibilities

Develop and deploy GenAI technology to empower content understanding and AI-generated content framework.
Conduct applied research on new GenAI techniques to explore new content experiences and direction.
Contribute to content tech evolvements including multimodality content understanding and AI-generated content features and measurements.
Ensure holistic content modeling and supporting infrastructure across Search and related products.
Enable downstream content applications with AI exploration capabilities and improve product metrics.
