Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead the CreDS team, responsible for tier-0 infrastructure powering IAM Roles across AWS services. You will drive strategy, risk management, and cross-functional delivery, ensuring secure, scalable credential distribution at scale.

You will own operational metrics, automate workflows, and mentor a diverse team, partnering with product management to align on priorities and deliver impactful security improvements for customers

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience.
• 3+ years of designing or architecting systems (reliability and scaling).
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Experience with full software/hardware/network lifecycle practices and livesite operations.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the long-term product and architecture strategy for temporary security credential management and distribution.
• Drive customer-facing impact by translating customer needs into credential management features.
• Identify risks early and escalate to leadership when needed.
• Set team strategy, plans, and ensure high-quality execution.
• Own operational metrics and automation tools to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Build partnerships with Product Management to align priorities and drive cross-functional execution.
• Collaborate with AWS service teams to meet security and adoption goals.
• Make prioritization decisions and balance short-term delivery with long-term health.
• Leverage AI tooling to boost productivity and automate workflows.
• Grow and mentor a healthy, diverse team through strategic hiring and coaching.
