Clever, a Kahoot! company, is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the Classroom Experience team in San Francisco. You will guide the most visible products, including the Clever Portal, and expand into browser extensions and future access workflows for learning apps.

You will mentor engineers, shape strategy with Product and Design, ensure high uptime, and foster an inclusive culture that grows talent and delivers reliable software for schools worldwide.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams with a track record of building high-impact teams.
• 5+ years of software development experience with full-stack architecture and system design.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools to enhance development workflow and code quality.
• Commitment to understanding and prioritizing Clever's engineering culture.
• Experience with operational change management and process improvement.
• Excellent communication and the ability to manage distributed, remote teams across stakeholders.
• A deep commitment to inclusive leadership and diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Classroom Experience team to scale primary classroom UIs and interfaces.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Marketing to define the roadmap and best practices.
• Drive accessible UIs and next-generation APIs for secure, simple access to learning apps.
