Grainger is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Customer Information Management (CIM) team in Chicago. The role focuses on leading secure, scalable address services and coordinating across product, architecture, and security groups.

You will guide engineers, promote best practices, and ensure timely delivery of address data APIs, with emphasis on reliability, quality, and collaboration across teams. This is a hybrid Chicago-based position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of leading developers.
• Ability to manage Agile sprint teams and vendor relationships.
• Experience with microservices and cloud platforms a plus.

Responsibilities

• Guide Software Engineers and define team roles.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to align roadmaps and translate requirements.
• Promote software engineering practices and drive process improvements.
• Mentor engineers to support technical and professional growth.
