Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years in direct people-management or team-lead responsibility.
• Experience delivering and operating software under FDA, SOX, CLIA, HIPAA controls.
• Led teams using automation, AI-assisted engineering, CI/CD, and scripted operations.
• Familiar with agile/scrum, planning, estimation, and stakeholder communication.
• Experience hiring and onboarding software engineers.

Responsibilities

• Manage a front-line team of software engineers: hiring, onboarding, performance management, coaching, and career development.
• Own delivery for the assigned platform: sprint planning, prioritization with Product Manager, estimation, and releases under regulated change control.
• Remain technically engaged: participate in design/architecture reviews and code reviews; uphold SOX/FDA standards.
• Run an automation-first operating model; AI-assisted workflows and automated test/evidence coverage as core delivery duties.
• Onboard engineers into the regulated environment with structured knowledge transfer.
• Partner with Site-Reliability Engineering on production readiness and incident response.
• Maintain team health and capacity planning; manage on-call load and WIP.
• Ensure compliance with change-control records, evidence reviews, and documentation.
