Energy Innovation Corp. is seeking an Engineering Manager in Charlotte, NC. The role rewards autonomy, goal-setting discipline, and a track record of delivering cross-functional freelance projects.

You’ll pair with partners to scope work, contribute to sprint planning, and lead containerization and CI/CD improvements across the local engineering teams. You will drive REST API initiatives, troubleshoot incidents, and develop integration tests to catch regressions before deployment.

Qualifications

• Experience with goal-setting frameworks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to understand and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and Node.js applications.
• Familiarity with agile/scrum practices and sprint planning.

Responsibilities

• Pair with cross-functional partners to scope and deliver freelance projects
• Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and technology roadmap discussions
• Containerize applications and manage deployments with REST API and Goal Setting
• Maintain and improve CI/CD infrastructure across NC engineering teams
• Drive incident postmortems and root-cause analyses to prevent outages
• Write integration tests for regression coverage and quality checks
• Spike REST API PoCs quickly to answer business questions
