Job summary

Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) seeks a Software Engineering Manager to lead the Automated Test Software (ATS) team in Verona, WI. You will provide technical and organizational leadership, guide staffing, manage project risks, and drive continuous improvement across software development, testing, and deployment.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Design Verification, Hardware Engineering, and other groups to define requirements, promote best practices, ensure quality, and deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• On-site work at Verona, WI facility.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Automated Test Software team.
• Oversee development, integration, deployment, and maintenance of software.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Hardware teams to define requirements.
• Promote software engineering practices: reviews, version control, CI.
• Ensure testability, maintainability, and production readiness.
• Manage priorities, resources, schedules, and risks.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve quality and efficiency.
• Foster an inclusive, accountable team environment.
• Conduct performance reviews and succession planning.
