We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our AI Platform team.

This team is dedicated to building the AI experience for our engineers. The AI Platform team is responsible for the foundational primitives that empower our developers to deliver high-quality AI experiences efficiently.

Responsibilities:

1. Coach, mentor, and create an environment where your team can do their best work and deliver for the business.
2. Set direction and guide technical strategy, ensuring that your team is delivering long-term value aligned with Vanta’s business priorities.
3. Work closely with stakeholders to understand developer needs and implement solutions supporting AI advancement at Vanta.
4. Champion best practices for AI quality and operations.

Success in this role requires:

1. 2+ years managing technical teams of 6 or more engineers.
2. Experience managing ML and applied engineering teams.
3. Proven track record as an engineer in building AI/ML platforms.
4. Deep knowledge of data flywheels, evals, and quality hill-climbing.
5. Strong leadership skills in hiring, mentoring, and developing engineers.
6. Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration.
7. Pragmatism in build vs buy decisions and iterative planning.
