Augment is building AI teammates for logistics. We’re seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a core engineering team, stay hands-on when needed, and partner with Product and AI to ship reliable systems. You’ll manage engineers, drive technical direction, and help scale operations as we grow rapidly in a hybrid SF office.

This role blends leadership with practical coding and architecture work, shaping the future of autonomous workflows and logistics solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years in engineering leadership or people management.
• Strong foundation in building distributed systems and backend services.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a high-performing team of engineers through coaching, feedback, and career development.
• Drive technical execution on key product and platform initiatives, ensuring high-quality, reliable systems.
• Stay hands-on when needed — participate in architecture reviews and write production code occasionally.
• Partner with Product, AI, and Ops to define roadmaps and align priorities.
• Lead efforts to hire, onboard, and scale the engineering organization, including a Customer Support product team.
