Job summary

CircleCI is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Web Experiences team, building the interfaces where developers interact with our CI/CD platform. The role blends people leadership with hands-on technical judgment, delivering meaningful product improvements with startup speed and shaping how customers adopt the platform.

You will recruit, mentor, and grow a distributed engineering team, partner with Design, Product, and Data, and ensure frontend quality, performance, and observability

Qualifications

• Experience leading people in fast-paced startup environments.
• Proven ability to build cohesive, high-performing teams.
• Familiarity with modern software engineering practices and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, and retain a diverse engineering team while fostering psychological safety.
• Run regular one-on-ones, set goals, coach, and support career growth across the team.
• Ensure incremental delivery of high-quality work with Design, Product, and Data partners.
• Engage stakeholders and customers to translate usage insights into team priorities.
• Maintain transparency and collaborate with peer teams and broader initiatives.
• Guide AI-native engineering direction and champion observability based on data.
• Grow frontend performance, reliability, and maintainable architecture.
