Job summary

Grainger is seeking an Engineering Manager to join the Pricing team in Product Engineering. You will lead a team delivering pricing APIs and data products, partnering with Product Management, Engineers, and Security to ensure secure, scalable pricing services.

The role emphasizes AI-enabled engineering practices, modern CI/CD, and governance, reporting to the Senior Manager, Pricing, Product Engineering. Hybrid role based in Chicago Merchandise Mart.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/SE or related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading software development teams or Agile delivery teams.
• Experience with Agile, cloud-based environments, and modern software practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead software engineers and coaching teams to deliver pricing services.
• Translate roadmaps into delivery plans and objectives.
• Oversee planning, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Establish engineering standards, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and AI-assisted practices.
• Ensure delivery quality, security, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, and Platform teams.
