Job summary

The Home Depot seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team building foundational customer identity, payments, preferences, and privacy platforms powering our omnichannel experience across web, mobile, and in-store channels.

You will own end-to-end engineering delivery across four interconnected enterprise platforms at scale, managing people, architecture decisions, and quarterly commitments in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of engineering leadership experience at enterprise scale.
• Fluency in AI-augmented engineering and measurable AI adoption.
• Strong backend tech stack knowledge: Java, Spring Boot, GCP, Cassandra, Elasticsearch/MongoDB.

Responsibilities

• Delivery and execution across four enterprise platforms.
• Collaborate with product teams to create secure, scalable software.
• Lead and mentor software engineers to build a world-class team.
• Review and improve architecture decisions and quarterly commitments.
• Establish dashboards, observability, and operational excellence.
• Drive platform reliability, security compliance, and cost optimization.
