Augment is building AI teammates to automate complex workflows in logistics. We are growing quickly and seek an Engineering Manager to lead one of our core engineering teams, shaping people and technical direction while staying hands-on when needed.

You’ll manage a high-performing team, drive key product and platform initiatives, participate in architecture reviews, and collaborate with Product, AI, and Ops to define roadmaps. Hybrid work from San Francisco.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years in engineering leadership or people management.
• Strong backend skills in TypeScript/Node.js/Python.
• Experience with distributed systems and high-growth environments.
• Hybrid work model with SF office presence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team; coach and develop engineers.
• Drive technical execution on product and platform initiatives, ensuring reliable systems.
• Stay hands-on when needed; participate in architecture reviews and write production code.
• Partner with Product, AI, and Ops to define roadmaps and align priorities.
• Scale the engineering organization; help build the Customer Support product team.
• Improve engineering processes, rituals, and on-call practices.
