Job summary

Roblox, based in San Mateo, CA, is seeking an Engineering Manager for Account Security (AccSec) to lead a 7+ IC pod and shape the strategy to reduce account takeover. You will work with data science and product partners to define and execute the roadmap for safer accounts.

The role emphasizes technical depth, mentoring engineers, and hands-on contribution to code and architecture reviews, while driving data-informed security decisions for a platform with millions of players.

Qualifications

• Experience in account security, identity, or fraud detection, or abuse detection.
• A track record of leading teams as they land security or abuse fighting features from inception, to prioritization, to alignment, to implementation and finally launch.
• Experience in people leadership. You have led (and grown) high-performing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Be entrepreneurial. Define Roblox’s ongoing Account Security strategy and the roadmap with data science and product partners.
• Remain technically hands-on, contributing code and leading architectural reviews.
• Experiment with data-informed decisions and drive security features at scale for millions of players.
• Scale impact across a platform with 100M+ monthly active accounts.
