n8n GmbH is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Enterprise Nodes & Partnerships team. Lead a high-performing engineering group to build trusted enterprise integrations and strategic partnerships, delivering secure, scalable solutions in an AI-native world.

You will coach engineers, drive cross-functional alignment with Product and Design, and shape technical direction while ensuring fast execution and strong team health. This role offers remote-first work with global impact.

Qualifications

• Engineering management experience: at least 1 year leading engineers in a growing org.
• Strong domain expertise in strategic integrations, production-grade connector reliability, governance/observability, developer experience, platform engineering, or infra tooling.
• Strong people leadership; coaching, feedback, career development, empathetic accountability.
• Adaptability in fast-moving environments; provide clarity and stay focused with changing priorities.
• Hands-on software engineering background; mentor engineers and participate in architecture decisions.
• Willing to dive into code or technical challenges to unblock the team.
• Excellent cross-functional communication with Product, Design, Eng., and customer teams.
• Experience in a high-growth SaaS environment and scaling engineering teams.
• Experience collaborating with external technology partners on enterprise products or integrations.

Partner with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to align priorities, navigate trade-offs, and deliver meaningful product and platform outcomes.

Create clarity and focus as priorities evolve, helping your team navigate uncertainty and embrace opportunities emerging from AI.

Establish lightweight processes and clear expectations that enable fast execution without compromising engineering quality, maintainability, or team health.

Lead with technical credibility and sound judgment

Guide architectural and technical decisions, helping engineers navigate trade-offs around scalability, reliability, performance, and speed.

Maintain a high bar for engineering excellence by mentoring engineers, challenging technical decisions constructively, and encouraging strong engineering practices.

Dive into technical details or code when needed to unblock the team, while keeping your primary focus on people leadership and team effectiveness.

• TypeScript / Node.js familiarity: You have experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, or Node.js and can quickly develop technical context within our stack.
• Open-source and developer tooling: You're passionate about developer-focused products, open-source communities, and building extensible platforms that empower technical users.
• AI product exposure: You've worked with AI-native products, AI-powered features, or engineering teams exploring how AI is transforming product development and engineering practices.
