Job Overview

Engineering Manager – Walk‑Behind Mower Team, Anderson, SC. Oversee engineering technical contributions on assigned product development programs and support mature products for TTI Techtronic Industries Power Equipment, a subsidiary of TTI.

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise, organize, schedule, direct, evaluate and motivate engineers during the product development process.
• Contribute to the advancement of basic business processes associated with the functional area.
• Provide advanced project leadership for multiple projects.
• Manage project direction on assigned new product development programs and support mature products.
• Apply industry‑leading experience and multiple project leadership.
• Drive evolution of product function to interpret consumer/value driven design guides and fulfill cost, timing, and reliability goals.
• Use Concurrent Product Development philosophies to lead the design of product architecture and innovation suitable for high‑volume manufacturing processes.
• Provide overall management, including written and verbal instructions to design teams as needed to meet design and schedule goals.
• Manage the selection of design execution alternatives.
• Monitor that selected designs fulfill specification objectives.
• Adjust communications to support project success.
• Remain accountable for technical elements of product design.
• Provide training and guidance to assigned personnel for improvement and growth opportunities.
• Establish goals and objectives for each engineer with regular reviews and performance appraisal.
• Monitor each project's phase‑based prototype plan, development plan, engineering pilot plan and corresponding test program to prove merit of technical concepts and design guide/product specification compliance.
• Attend design and safety reviews as needed to gain necessary approvals for product development phase progression.
• Review project documentation including Engineering Change Masters and Bills of Material to ensure it is performed to standard.
