Job summary

Miba sucht eine erfahrene Führungskraft im Bereich Engineering & Environment, um Engineering-Aktivitäten zu leiten, höchste technische Standards bei angemessenen Kosten sicherzustellen und Umweltvorschriften über MHC hinweg zu koordinieren.

Sie führen das Team, definieren Standards, arbeiten eng mit Kunden zusammen und treiben kontinuierliche Verbesserungen in Produktentwicklung und Fertigung voran. Reisebereitschaft ist gegeben, Englisch ist erforderlich.

Qualifications

  • Abgeschlossenes Ingenieurstudium oder vergleichbare technische Ausbildung.
  • Mehrere Jahre Erfahrung in Engineering, Produktentwicklung, Fertigung oder verwandter Industrie.
  • Erfahrung in Führung von Engineering-Teams und bereichsübergreifende Koordination technischer Aktivitäten.
  • Fundierte Kenntnisse in Produktentwicklung, APQP, PFMEA, DVP&R, Ursachenanalyse und kontinuierlicher Verbesserung.
  • Erfahrung in der Zusammenarbeit mit Kunden zu technischen Anforderungen, Produktlancierung, Tests und Problemlösung.
  • Kenntnisse im Umweltmanagementsystem, Umweltgesetzgebung, Abfallmanagement und Auditprozessen.
  • Ausgeprägte analytische, organisatorische und problemlösende Fähigkeiten.
  • Fähigkeit, komplexe technische Informationen klar zu kommunizieren.
  • Sicheres Auftreten in Kommunikation mit Kunden, Management, Lieferanten und Teams.
  • Reisebereitschaft.
  • Umgang mit gängiger Bürosoftware; CAD, Minitab, SAP vorteilhaft.

Responsibilities

  • Führe die Engineering-Standards ein und halte sie gemäß Markt- und Unternehmunsrichtlinien fest.
  • Sorge für Einhaltung von Engineering-Standards, Prozessen und Verfahren.
  • Leite das Engineering-Team, verteile Aufgaben, entwickle Fähigkeiten und bewerte Leistungen.
  • Koordiniere Rollen wie Designer, Projektingenieure, Produktingenieure und SAP-Standards.
  • Prüfe und freigebe Konstruktionszeichnungen, Änderungen, Spezifikationen und Berichte.
  • Agiere als technischer Berater für das Management des MHC.
  • Vertrete Miba in Kunden- und Partnergesprächen.
  • Leite technische Lösungen durch die Miba-Organisation und kommuniziere sie verständlich.
  • Sei primärer technischer Ansprechpartner bei Markteinführungen, Prototypen, Kundentests und APQP-Aktivitäten.
  • Arbeite eng mit Kunden zusammen, verstehe Anforderungen und entwickle passende Lösungen.
  • Entwerfe und teste Kundenprodukte und Herstellprozesse.
  • Unterstütze Projekte, Produktclinics, Tests und technische Reviews.
  • Biete technischen Support für Vertrieb und andere Abteilungen.
  • Informiere Management und Vertrieb über Projekte und Entwicklungen.
  • Entwickle Kenntnisse über Brake-, Kupplungs- und AWD-Reibsysteme der Kunden.
  • Reise zu Kunden, Lieferanten und anderen Miba-Standorten.
  • Vermittle technische Informationen klar und angemessen.

Engineering & Environmental Manager

Miba is looking for an experienced Engineering & Environmental Manager to lead engineering activities, ensure the highest technical standards at competitive cost, and coordinate environmental compliance across MHC.

Your Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership and Standards
  • Define and maintain Miba engineering standards in line with market requirements and company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Lead and develop the engineering team, including workload distribution, capability development, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Coordinate engineering roles, including designers, project engineers, product engineers, and SAP standards.
  • Review and approve engineering drawings, engineering change notices, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Act as the internal technical advisor to the MHC management team.
  • Represent Miba as a technical spokesperson in discussions with customers and external partners.
  • Drive technical solutions throughout the Miba organization and communicate them clearly to customers.
Product Development and Customer Support
  • Act as the primary technical interface for customers during new product launches, prototype manufacturing, customer testing, and APQP activities.
  • Work closely with customers to understand application requirements and develop appropriate technical solutions.
  • Design and troubleshoot customer products and the associated Miba manufacturing processes.
  • Support customer projects, product clinics, testing activities, and technical reviews.
  • Provide technical support to sales and other internal departments.
  • Keep management and sales teams informed about customer projects and technical developments.
  • Develop knowledge of customers’ brake, clutch, and AWD friction systems.
  • Travel to customers, suppliers, and other Miba locations as required.
  • Communicate technical information clearly and at the appropriate level of detail, both verbally and in writing.
Technical Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement
  • Work closely with Frictec R&D and global technology engineering to resolve technical issues and address customer and plant requirements.
  • Lead the MHC COC team, including activities, data collection, analysis, and conclusions.
  • Lead PFMEA and DVP&R activities as required.
  • Set DVP&R validation targets for new business development projects.
  • Support APQP teams and manufacturing engineering activities.
  • Set and monitor process parameters and define corrective actions where required.
  • Support the Quality department with root-cause analysis, issue resolution, and technical information.
  • Assist with the investigation of product failures and defects, including failures identified during customer testing or in the field.
  • Lead product clinics internally and with customers.
  • Develop and communicate cost-reduction opportunities in cooperation with customers and manufacturing teams.
  • Provide design‑to‑cost leadership.
  • Generate initial design layouts and technical input for Product Engineering.
  • Scout system‑level technology trends in relevant target business segments.
  • Provide R&D with information about current and future technical requirements.
  • Evaluate technical information and summarize facts in accurate, concise reports.
Your Profile
  • Degree in engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
  • Several years of experience in engineering, product development, manufacturing, or a related industrial environment.
  • Experience leading engineering teams and coordinating cross‑functional technical activities.
  • Strong knowledge of product development, APQP, PFMEA, DVP&R, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement methods.
  • Experience working directly with customers on technical requirements, product launches, testing, and problem resolution.
  • Knowledge of environmental management systems, environmental legislation, waste management, and audit processes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear and concise conclusions.
  • Confident communication skills with customers, management, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Proficiency in common business software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with CAD, Minitab, SAP, and other engineering software is an advantage.
  • Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
