Job summary

IsoTalent is helping a client in Salt Lake City, UT recruit an Engineering Manager to lead a four-person mechanical, hardware, and firmware team and shape the next generation of products. You will report to the EVP of Product and may hold Senior Manager to Director level titles based on experience.

You will build processes, document controls, and best practices while collaborating with Product to balance performance, quality, cost, and timing. Occasional international travel is required.

Qualifications

• Direct experience managing overseas engineering partnerships.
• Minimum three years in an engineering organization.
• Experience in people management, coaching, and team development.
• Experience with product costing, engineering tradeoffs, and disciplined document control.
• Nice-to-have: connected hardware and electronics, robotics, mechatronics, motor control, startup experience, or introducing new processes into an existing organization.

Engineering Manager, Salt Lake City, UT: lead a four-person mechanical, hardware, and firmware team and shape how a respected manufacturer builds its next generation of products.

Our client focuses on designing for production alongside its customers. It now needs a leader who can grow the team and give its work more structure.

The Role

You will lead and develop the mechanical, hardware, and firmware engineering team and manage overseas contract manufacturing engineering partnerships. You will report to the EVP of Product. The title may land anywhere from Senior Manager to Director, depending on your experience.

You will assess what the team does well, hire where it needs depth, and put practical processes, documentation, and engineering best practices in place. You will also work closely with Product to balance performance, quality, cost, and timing. International travel is needed from time to time to support development and partner work.

Qualifications

Pay and Benefits

• $180,000–$185,000 per year base
