The Engineering Manager is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Phoenix, AZ, responsible for leading engineering activities related to precast concrete building projects. The position of Engineering Manager carries the responsibility of managing engineering, drafting, project managers, and Quality Control. The Engineering Manager reports directly to the General Manager/Vice President.
This role oversees and mentors an engineering team, coordinates workloads, and ensures that design deliverables meet safety, quality, and code requirements. Daily responsibilities include managing project timelines and resources, reviewing and approving engineering drawings and calculations, and collaborating with project managers, production, and erection teams to integrate engineering solutions into construction plans. The Engineering Manager engages with clients and design partners to clarify technical requirements, resolve engineering issues, and support cost‑effective structural solutions. This position also drives process improvements, supports integration of new tools and technologies, and promotes adherence to company standards and regulatory guidelines.
