Job summary

GRAMMER AG is seeking an Engineering Manager to steer the lead engineering activities, drive continuous improvement, and ensure processes meet customer specifications. You will integrate with the plant leadership team to manage processes, tooling, and productivity across automotive interiors and seating systems.

The role emphasizes problem solving, root-cause analysis, and strong leadership to guide a skilled engineering team and align with Grammer’s standards and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Automotive industry preferred.
• Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience leading continuous improvement projects/Kaizens.
• Demonstrated management skills.
• Able to perform problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-to-back engineering activities to achieve optimum productivity and quality while meeting customerSpecifications.
• Oversee development and administration of the Engineering Process.
• Coach and develop engineering team members.
• Establish and review process controls; pursue continuous improvement and waste reduction.
• Achieve target cost, improved efficiency, and identify potential production issues.
• As part of plant leadership, contribute to process flows, labor and machine standards.
• Review proposed changes to processes/equipment/molds to ensure reliability and compatibility with Grammer standards.

What are your main tasks?

• Allproposedplansforchangestotheprocess,equipment,molds,andtoolingaretobereviewedbytheEngineeringManagertoensurereliabilityandcompatibilitywithexistingGrammerstandards/systems

What are your qualifications?
