Job summary

Jobot in Lynchburg, VA, is seeking an experienced Engineering Leader to drive design and development of manufacturing processes in the plastics space. You will lead a team of engineers, manage projects from concept to completion, and champion Lean and Six Sigma to boost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Proven experience in project management and product development.
• Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and mechanical engineering principles.
• Proficiency in engineering design software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to manufacturing processes and systems.
• Provide technical guidance and training to engineering team members.
