Express Employment Professionals – Hawaii has partnered with a respected real estate development and property management company in Honolulu to seek an experienced Chief Engineer / Engineering Manager to oversee building operations, maintenance programs, capital improvements, and engineering staff across a premier commercial property portfolio.

Lead maintenance, budgets, vendor management, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance; drive capital projects and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience within commercial property management, engineering, facilities or building operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise engineering and maintenance personnel
• Manage preventative maintenance programs and building systems
• Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and service providers
• Develop and manage operating and capital budgets while planning and coordinating capital improvement projects
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and operational standards
• Respond to building emergencies and critical system issues
• Maintain records, operational logs, and regulatory documentation
• Drive asset preservation, sustainability efforts, and operational efficiencies

Your Key Responsibilities

What We're Looking For?

• Valid Driver's License
• 5+ years of leadership experience within commercial property management, engineering, facilities or building operations
• Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance programs, and capital projects
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and contract services
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and operational needs
